April 2-4th marked the ASW’s 4th Aquaria Expo. The weekend was free and open to the public, featuring a beautifully-displayed fish show, lectures by world-renowned speakers, kids’ activities, an awards banquet and, of course, our Sunday Giant Auction. There was an excellent turnout throughout the weekend, even though the weather on Saturday kept many potential visitors home.

Our Expo was featured on CTV News on Saturday night. We were also interviewed by Global TV and featured on Page 2 of the Winnipeg Sun!

We had over 200 entries this year and would like to extend huge thanks to everyone who brought them in. All of your hard work paid off in the end! The winners of individual classes and the winners of the Major Awards took home the bragging rights, cash prizes, plaques and certificates, but everyone deserves a pat on the back for a job well done! Countless positive comments were overheard from members, non-members, adults and children alike!

The winners of the Aquaria Expo 2010 Raffle are:

This amazing event couldn’t have been a success without the help of all of our wonderful volunteers - thank you so very, very much! Thanks are also due to our show organizers, expert speakers, host hotel CanadInns Polo Park and all of our visitors from near and far.

This month, we are holding our fall Giant Auction. It's time to restock your fishrooms, sell off the fry you've been raising over the summer, replenish your fish food supply, or find some new plants or equipment!
